SHEQ / CERTIFICATIONS



As part of an integrated business management system, Powertech IST has implemented a Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMS). These management systems support our strategic objectives and comply with ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999 standards.

The QMS establishes the required systems, processes and procedures to provide products and services that aim to exceed the expectations of customers, add value to shareholder expectations and satisfy external quality requirements. Together with supporting business processes, it constitutes the means by which we implement, maintain and continually improve our business operations, products and services.

The EMS provides a framework for managing our impacts on the environment, on-site and off-site, and in challenging project management environments. Meeting our stakeholder requirements in terms of environmental management is a critical part of our strategy to ensure sustainable development.

The SMS strengthens our safety culture by providing a basis where a safety ethic permeates the whole organisation and where our people’s behaviour focuses on accident prevention through critical self-assessment, proactive identification of management, behavioural and technical problems, and appropriate, timely and effective resolution of problems before they become crises.

We believe the satisfaction of our customers is determined through the performance of our products, the execution of our projects and the excellence of our services. Top management is, therefore, committed to ensure that all aspects of SHEQ are addressed throughout the organisation as reflected in our stated policies. Powertech IST’s stakeholders are considered partners in business. Understanding their needs and identifying solutions in accomplishing jointly set goals are driving forces of our business.
